In Japan the gardens are revered for their beauty and form. It takes many gardeners to upkeep and the selection of different maples that are grouped together is divine. The size of leaves and their variation of tones from green, yellow, red, orange to auburn bronze is striking. At night time the gardens are also lit up sometimes in the undergrowth or through the stone crafted lanterns.
The mysterious marine blue light under the leaf boughs just makes the autumnal colours explode and the illumination is hallucinating.
The precious embroidery concentrating on the up part of the water colour gives a feeling of three dimensional presence.
Embroidery on water colour measures 35x25cm, mounted in acid free ivory coloured window mount to measure 40x30. Not framed.
