This is from my recent Japanese garden series, featuring the famous Imperial garden Kikakaju in Kyoto. The piece is embroidered in silk, cotton and metallic thread, bringing out the 3 Dimensional effect of the leaves and the shimmering light reflections in the pond.
The piece is stretched over canvas and protected with archival sprayed mat varnish called Lascaux.
