This piece has been a joy to make as the use of gold, bronze and iridescent paint glows with the black, white and gold embroidery. A study of a rock pool is fascinating. As you look down, in is another world with submerged treasures under water. It is an appropriate title, as this is about a world that is constantly under change due to the ebb and flow of the tides. The shells and pebbles are pushed and shoved constantly and eventually forms its own entity until the next wave comes. What is this telling you? We are all part of nature's forces and we are drawn into the flow of nature's energy.
The embroidery is on paper that is stretched onto canvas and finished with archival mat varnish for protection. It is in a white wood floating frame, "caisse americaine".
